FATA Automation delivers efficient, purpose-built conveyor systems that keep production lines moving. For a major automotive manufacturer, we supplied a fully integrated Fuel Tank Delivery System to streamline internal logistics as part of a wider production improvement programme.
The system handles multiple fuel tank variants, manually loaded in build schedule order from stillages in the delivery area. From there, tanks travel via a low-level belt conveyor system to a vertical drop lifter, which elevates them to a high-level conveyor line for transfer to the installation zone.
At line side, precision drop lifters lower the tanks to floor level, perfectly aligning them for seamless installation onto the vehicle.
