EV Drop Lifter Installation

A major UK automotive manufacturer required upgraded drop lifters for their paint and body shops to accommodate a new EV model. The existing drop lifters lacked the necessary load capacity, necessitating a solution that would fit within the existing building structure while integrating seamlessly with the production line.

Key elements of the project:

• Design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning of six new drop lifters.

• Use of SEW motors with Movipro inverters, featuring a primary drive and backup.

• Integration with existing body slings, conveyors, and safety systems.

• Pre-installation testing of over 500 cycles for each unit.

• Execution within a strict two-week installation window, including removal of old equipment.

• Enhanced safety measures with new guarding and light guard integration.

• Full mechanical and electrical on-site support during the first week of production.
