Tunnel Inspection Vehicles
Originally developed by FATA Automation for CERN (the European Organisation for Nuclear Research), our tunnel inspection vehicles are purpose-built for high-precision cable and infrastructure inspections in confined and complex environments.
These remotely operated vehicles feature onboard infrared (IR) cameras designed specifically for Extra High Voltage (EHV) cable inspection. Each unit accommodates up to five personnel along with essential tools, ensuring operational efficiency and team mobility underground.
FATA Automations tunnel inspection vehicles use a unique hybrid system, combining conveyor friction drive with AGV battery-powered technology—delivering both reliability and flexibility in enclosed and demanding tunnel networks.
